Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is a renowned academic institution with prominent research programs in cardiometabolic diseases. The Saha Cardiovascular Research Center (Saha CVRC) is a highly productive and collegial environment within the College that facilitates a broad range of cardiovascular research with areas of emphasis that include vascular biology, lipoprotein metabolism, hypertension, thrombosis, and cardiac function and a mission to expand our impact on the understanding of cardiovascular function, disease, and treatment. Our prominent and collaborative investigators are making major advances in biomedical research and leading training programs that prepare scientists and physician scientists for successful careers in academia, industry, and government.

The Saha CVRC is currently seeking to recruit a faculty member for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. We invite applications from scientists with Ph.D. and/or M.D degrees to establish an independent, extramurally-funded research program in cardiovascular research addressing significant and fundamental questions in the field. While there is a preference for candidates with current extramural funding, this is not required for an applicant to be considered. The Center is interested in applicants with research interests that compliment and/or expand upon current research efforts within the Saha CVRC.

The Saha CVRC is housed in modern research facilities with convenient access to core facilities equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation. Competitive start-up funds, independent research space, and professional development mentoring will be provided.
