As an assistant director of enrollment, you will play a crucial role in maintaining SCAD's stellar reputation through individualized customer service to students, parents, and educators. You will assist applicants throughout the admission process and meticulously process all documents for admission and scholarship evaluation. You will act as a host during events to encourage applicants, address parental concerns, and ensure a seamless transition for students joining SCAD. During events, you will also be the main point of contact for staff requiring assistance.

In this position, you will extensively travel to your assigned area to deliver engaging classroom presentations to potential applicants, build relationships with schools and organizations, and encourage awareness of SCAD. You will plan travel to strategically identified high schools and universities, operate management systems to record and track documents and applicant information, and ensure data reporting adheres to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines. Among other duties, you will also update monthly caseload reports and monitor admission meeting minutes while proactively asking questions to enhance decision-making.

The successful candidate demonstrates excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal communication skills. They should work well collaboratively and independently, be exceptionally detail-oriented, and manage multiple competing tasks with ease. The candidate should also be passionate about helping students achieve their goals. A customer-centered mindset is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in admissions, recruitment, or a field related to higher education
  • Proficiency in using computer databases and office productivity software

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Experience with Banner and Salesforce

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:  

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport

Travel Required:  

  • More than 50%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
