Job Summary

The Internal Audit department is currently seeking a professional to fill the Audit Consultant Manager position. The Audit Consultant Manager will report directly to the Deputy Accountability Officer and Audit Executive. This role will provide proactive, expert consulting services for organizational audits focusing on business operations and financial activity. This position will partner with campus university departments as necessary to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels to assist with resources and tools to support audits. Will oversee various audit projects from start to finish including conducting progress meetings with appropriate individuals/areas, documenting processes, discussion and decisions. Will manage project specifications ensuring timelines are on-schedule and deadlines are met and aligned with Internal Audit work standards. This position will ensure compliance and enhance organizational improvements including developing complex quality and internal control reviews to identify errors/gaps and make recommendations for workflow efficiencies. Will ensure documents and transactions follow departmental and organizational policies and procedures, state/federal regulations and internal/external audit requirements. Will develop goals, metrics and track progress in alignment with department and organizational strategic goals. Communicate and recommend action plans to identify control issues; recognizes complex financial implications of identified risks to management; prepares and evaluates quality assurance and process documentation to support outcomes.
