As a Budget Analyst within the Accounting Department at the East Central Public Health District,you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Salary:
Budget Analyst I - $40,000.00 - $46,0000.00
Budget Analyst II - $47,000.00 - $50,500.00

Job Responsibilities

Under supervision, develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises budgets and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues, analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation and recommends appropriate courses of action to management. Performs expenditure analyses and prepares budget-related financial summaries and recommendations for management review.
Manage multiple fund accounts including budget preparation, monitoring, & adjustments; process all receipts and deposits; bank reconciliations; financial analysis & projections, reporting. Comply with GAAP and audit procedures/principles.

Minimum Qualifications

Budget Analyst 1
Entry Qualifications
Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited college or university; or two (2) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience.

Budget Analyst 2
Entry Qualifications
Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience; or four (4) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Budget Analyst 1 (FIP010) or equivalent position.

  DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
