Career Services AdvisorUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Career Services Advisor is responsible for providing professional career guidance/coaching to UIW students and alumni. The Career Services Advisor reports to the Director of Career Services.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook or equivalent.• Ability to effectively assist students in understanding learning outcomes of academic and professional development.• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.• Strong initiative and creativity to develop outreach initiatives.• Strong organization and coordination skills.• Knowledge of career-related platforms (i.e. - Handshake).• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree. Note that Bachelor's Degree by date of assignment will be considered.Required Work ExperienceOne (1) year of experience working in student support services and/or career advising in a higher education setting or relevant environment.
