The hiring range for this role is:  

172,036.00 - 241,270.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range andthis hiringrange may also be modified in the future. A candidate’s position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for annual bonusincentivepay.

Job Description Summary

The Chief of Staff will support, and in some cases own, strategic responsibilities and initiatives in the organization and also help drive its management process, culture and engagement. The Chief of Staff is responsible for overseeing administrative functions, coordinating cross-departmental initiatives, and driving organizational efficiency through strategic execution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the build out of and execution against the strategic and operational roadmap via a robust management process.
  • Manage executive priorities and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Facilitate effective communication, enablement and engagement across the organization and coordinate cross-departmental initiatives for cohesive execution.
  • Oversee administrative functions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Drive organizational efficiency through strategic execution.
  • Support decision-making processes with data-driven insights.

Required Education, Certifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similar discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years in executive management or business operations; experience in strategic planning roles.
  • Strength in execution, a drive for results and a commitment to excellence and follow-through using robust organizational skills, program management, collaboration and communication
  • Articulate and succinct communication, including complex concepts, verbally and in writing, and use synthesized communications to drive execution and results.
  • High EQ and a collaborative and trust-driven working style to quickly build relationships, internally and externally, to enable our work and culture.
  • Executive presence and organization to support a team of senior leaders (internal to BCBSA and externally with BCBS Plans and otherwise) to ultimately achieve success, growth and results against mission and vision.
  • Strategic thinking, including the ability to develop robust insights from various sources, grounded in data and objective analysis, with the ability to make concrete recommendations and outline clear action steps to enable results.
  • Comfort with dynamic and sometimes ambiguous settings, showing the skill to bring a structured, proactive approach to prioritize and execute in partnership with fast-paced and dynamic leaders
  • Ability to learn quickly and leverage critical thinking and perseverance to take initiatives, solve problems, operate with autonomy and succeed against outcomes with proactive management and communication

Preferred Education, Certifications and Experience

  • Masters Degree in Business, Public Health, Public Policy, or Similar Degree
