The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the contract position of Graphics and Visual Art Spec 3 within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Communications Division.

Under broad supervision, assists with the development or management of visual concepts for routine and highly specialized projects or assignments by interpreting specifications from internal and external customers and translating these parameters into a finished product using the appropriate artistic medium. May serve as lead worker.

• Work schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Associate's degree from an accredited college AND Three years of professional related experience OR Technical or vocational degree in graphic arts, applied arts, commercial art, fine arts or a related field from an accredited college AND Three years of professional related experience OR Five years of professional related experience OR Equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.

FCBOH Consultant FAQs

Why should I join FCBOH Consultants? Joining FCBOH Consultants will allow HR to have direct access for position placement; thus, allowing for a greater opportunity for possible permanent employment in the future.

Will FCBOH pay Federal and State Taxes on behalf of the Consultant?All Consultants are responsible for paying their own taxes. Each Consultant will receive a 1099 tax form for their records at the end of the calendar year.

How often will Consultants be paid? Consultants are to be paid one week in arrears and will be paid weekly on Fridays by direct deposit. Depending on your bank, it may take a few hours or days for your direct deposit to reflect in your bank account. Note: There will be a one-week gap on the very first pay date, in such case, you will receive week 1 and week 2 hours on the next pay day.

How often are Consultants onboarded? Once the Consultant has completed the required contractual paperwork, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening, the Consultant will attend orientation and begin work on Tuesdays.

How will time be submitted and approved? Each Consultant must enter their hours worked daily in the ADP time keeping System. The hiring manager/designee will approve the timecard weekly.

Will Consultants have medical benefits?All Consultants have the option of taking advantage of the Affordable Care Act for benefits. FCBOH will not provide medical and flexible benefits to Consultants.

If transitioning from a vendor, will I receive any PTO/rewards earned with the vendor?FCBOH is not responsible for benefits/rewards obtained with any vendor. The Consultant must contact the vendor directly.

Will FCBOH provide usage of a vehicle during work assignments?Only permanent FCBOH employees are permitted to drive a state vehicle. Consultants may accompany a permanent employee as a passenger only.

How long will a contract last? Will I be notified in advance when the assignment ends?Dependent on the approved budget, a contract may last up to 2 years or when funds are depleted. The contract will identify the projected week(s) services are requested. Consultants may be released if there’s a performance issue or a violation of any FCBOH’s policies. HR will arrange to meet with the hiring manager and the Consultant in advance, if the need arises.

If I am transitioning from an outside vendor to a FCBOH Consultant, will my hourly pay rate change? The hourly rate is dependent on the approved budget of the contract, and the salary is disclosed within the contract.

How many hours per week are Consultants allowed to work? Work hours are determined according to the needs of the business and the approved budget of the contract. No Consultant shall exceed more than 40 hours per week.
