About the Clinical Psychology Program at the Washington DC Location
The Clinical Psychology Program at the Washington DC Location is a flagship program at The Chicago School. The Washington DC program started in 2010 and has been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 2015. The program is known for its active and engaged student body. Graduates of the Clinical Psychology Program go on to be highly sought-after practitioners and experts in their field. The faculty are extremely well-trained and nationally and internationally recognized in their areas of specialty. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with three days on campus and two days remote. One of the remote days may be used for professional development (e.g., research, workshops, professional practice).
The Role in Brief
Successful candidates will join a diverse and cohesive faculty of outstanding practitioner-scholars. Applicants must have a commitment to graduate instruction, training effective clinicians, supervising student research, academic advisement, and involvement in professional and scholarly activities. The Department Faculty report to the Academic Chair, and are based at the Washington DC Campus. This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule that reflects three days on campus and two days remote.

Primary Areas of Responsibility
- Teach doctoral-level clinical psychology courses to students in the Clinical Psychology Program onsite at the Washington DC Campus
- Provide ongoing academic advising, chair dissertations, and assist with admissions
- Serve on departmental, campus, and institutional committees
- Maintain active professional development or scholarship, broadly defined, and engage students in these activities
- Mentor a diverse student body on issues pertaining to academic, clinical, professional, and scholarship development
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related discipline (e.g., counseling psychology, social psychology, experimental psychology,). Those with clinical and counseling psychology degrees must have graduated from an APA-accredited program and be currently licensed or license eligible with a plan to become licensed within a year.
- Area of specialty and faculty rank are open. However, special consideration will be given to those with expertise/ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: neuropsychology, child, adolescent, and family therapy, and scientific bases (e.g., physiological, social psychology).
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
This opportunity is budgeted at $75,000 - 85,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
