Director, Corporate Compensation

 We are currently seeking a Director, Corporate Compensation to join our team. This position is responsible for servicing the corporate human resource needs in areas to include compensation, salary structure development, pay equity and salary administration programs, job description development, performance and merit review programs, sales compensation support, employment verifications, Company's annual incentive program (AIP), and assigned Executive compensation programs. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provides leadership and guidance to the Corporate HR Compensation team who is responsible for all related programs and processes in these areas.

• Oversees all components of the corporate salary structure, pay equity and salary administration programs, performance, merit and AIP program.  Serves a key role in the annual performance, merit and AIP cycles.  

• Oversees consultative discussions with internal stakeholders and serves as a resource in recommending organizational plans.  Responsible for educating employees and leaders on the company’s compensation philosophy and guidelines.

• Analyzes pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.  Reviews and approves salary increases permitted within budgetary limits and according to established compensation guidelines.  

• Acts as a support to the Wage & Salary Committee.  Ensures all new and revised job descriptions are prepared according to procedure and ready for review by Committee.  Makes recommendations to the Committee in areas related to the Company's compensation programs. 

• Leads the creation of salary structures, compensation and administrative guidelines for review and approval by management.  Responsible for the annual review project associated with the company's salary structure, location differentials and incentive plans.   

• Assists with the administration of equity-based plans.  Analyzes company compensation guidelines in relation to government wage and hour regulations, prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas and recommends changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates.  Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary levels.   Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance.

• Participates in development and administration of performance review program to ensure compliance with salary administration guidelines.  Reviews and maintains performance evaluation system, including development of electronic performance appraisal tools

• Works with Corporate HR department technology resources to develop, implement and manage efficient, effective and comprehensive compensation-related programs, policies, workflows, automation, information management and communications utilizing technology systems and applications. 

• In collaboration with HR COE, maintains best practices for Corporate Compensation programs. Examines and analyzes statistical data to forecast future organizational needs.

• Communicates with all levels of Management and maintains salary survey accounts.  

• Builds inclusive and collaborative partnerships across multiple departments, with various approaches to influence and plan work around common goals.

• Works with multiple subject matter experts across teams to review recommendations, generate options and make decisions. 

• Ensures that the team is aligned around the achievement of business objectives.

• Develops and executes plans with input from multiple teams, establishing accountability and clarity.

• Sets expectations by connecting team outcomes to business goals. Creates KPIs to achieve high standards of excellence.

• Recognizes need for change across the department, oversees the development of change plans, monitoring internal and external business conditions and reporting progress. 

• Takes accountability to implement change, create momentum, and influence others.

• Aspires to and practices the Corporate HR department mission to engage strategically with leaders and employees to serve the company culture, grow the business, and make a difference in our communities.

Qualifications: 

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field is required.

•Ten or more years of experience in Compensation is required.

•Five to seven years of experience managing employees is required.
