You will make an impact by:

Providing budgeting, forecasting and actuals analysis in terms of revenue, expense, profit, and investment projects (campus, programs, initiatives) leveraging information from the past, present and expected future operations. Will be over the preparation of short and long-term forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties such as our bank partners, and creation of financial models to help investment and operational decision making.

  • Creating financial models and analyses.
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting for capital expenditures for the organization and coordinating business cases and requests.
  • Preparing short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  • Ensuring finances are managed according to University policies and procedures, legislation, GAAP, and Department of Education regulations.
  • Managing financial systems and maintaining full and accurate records.
  • Responding to auditors’ findings concerning finances and operations and overseeing required action to address any deficiencies.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and comparing monthly and quarterly operating department financial results and KPIs against budget and forecast and other internal benchmarks, including working capital and cash flow analysis.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining cost data as required for regulatory reporting and for new program submissions on an ongoing basis and as requested.
  • Performing statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, instituting, and maintaining other planning and control procedures (including the planning system) and analyzing and reporting variances.

Your experience includes:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, which includes 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a public equity-backed company.
  • Experience leading a team, project, program, or function as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented environment under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including complex proposals and presentations, as this position will be presenting information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors and trustees.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents and manage resources.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities utilizing strong time management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise the utmost confidentiality in every aspect.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, cost accounting, finance, business administration or related field required; Master’s degree in accounting, cost accounting, finance, business administration or related field preferred.

Compensation:

  • $150,329.53 - $218,014.95 + Annual Bonus

  • Hybrid position where you will work in our administrative office in Irvine 3 days/week and from your home office 2 days/week.
