Primary Responsibilities
Entity Management and Corporate Governance
- Establish comprehensive understanding of Greystar’s business lines, legal structures and entities.
- Create and maintain official entity records and organization charts, including document repositories, within Greystar’s designated technology systems.
- Work to enhance Greystar’s global legal entity management processes and workflows, including with respect to entity formation, officer appointments, regulatory, tax and other ongoing reporting obligations and entity dissolution.
- Oversee special projects and outside consultants related to corporate governance and entity management, including rollout of entity management technology to new departments, business lines and geographic regions.
- Review official entity records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Greystar’s global legal, compliance, accounting/finance, tax and transactions teams, as well as registered agent systems and other third-party service providers, to promote efficiency and consistency.
- Support external counsel billing and administration
- Lead and support legal department initiatives and change management efforts, including document management, contract management, matter management, compliance initiatives
- Support implementation and management of department metrics, benchmarking and reporting
- Participate in industry legal operations conferences, industry benchmarking studies, and create a network to provide recommendations on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Partner closely with Legal Department, Finance and Technology teams
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years of relevant experience required, preferably working in a corporate secretary department or legal entity management role supporting a global organization.
- Relevant language skills (Fluent written and spoken English required).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of corporate governance, legal structures and entity/document management practices.
- Familiarity with technology solutions for entity and document management (experience with Diligent a plus), contract management, matter management and e-billing.
- Previous management experience a plus, particularly with remote and offshore teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Commitment to excellence, including a dedication to performing the role at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
- Superior judgment and ethical practices, including demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information.
- Practical business sense and ability to appropriately prioritize and make sound judgment calls when needed.

- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communication to establish and build internal and external relationships and work as a team player, including ability to communicate in a confident, professional, direct and diplomatic manner.

Additional Compensation:
- Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
- Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
