
Director Digital Marketing
Position Summary

Proximo is seeking an experienced and visionary Digital Marketing Director to lead the strategy, investment, and performance of Proximo’s digital and social media ecosystems across its portfolio of 15 brands. This role will play a central part in driving growth, awareness, and engagement—leading digital content strategy, social media performance, ecommerce and DTC marketing, and loyalty strategies across a constantly evolving digital landscape.
You will oversee the owned digital platforms and their respective agency relationships, manage owned platform and content optimization, and drive forward our brand storytelling and consumer conversion goals alongside the media planning team. You’ll be a digital transformation leader who is motivated to build a high performing team of specialists at the company who will enhance our capabilities, tools, and accelerate business results.
Role & Responsibilities
Responsible for: digital and social media agency investment and performance across all owned channels inc. social media (owned and paid), website, SEO, DTC commerce and CRM
Social Media Leadership
- Define Proximo’s social media strategy across organic platforms for its portfolio of brands, ensuring distinct brand voices and strategic alignment with each brand’s objectives, and the paid media strategy.
- Manage roster of social media agency partners, setting clear KPIs and performance expectations across all platforms
- Define and implement a robust social media performance framework, measuring brand awareness, engagement, reach, and conversions—providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Drive always-on content planning and publishing, ensuring regular brand storytelling that resonates with each brand's core consumer and community.
- Expert in influencer marketing and its role and impact across owned and paid channels for the brands
- Collaborate with brand teams and creatives to guide content creation, ensuring platform best practices, channel relevance, and asset performance.
- Partner with Media planning team to drive optimization of paid social strategy across awareness and conversion objectives
Digital Ecosystem Optimization
- Lead the strategy and performance of Proximo’s owned digital platforms including brand websites, SEO, and DTC commerce.
- Develop and manage a content performance optimization strategy to ensure digital storytelling drives consumer engagement and business outcomes.
- Conduct research and analyse multiple types of website data to develop insights around performance and activate the necessary actions to correct/improve/adapt or continue the web journey.
- Oversee CRM strategies that enhance loyalty, customer lifetime value, and digital remarketing efforts.
- Build initiatives to capture and leverage 1P (2P + 3P) data analytics, creative and optimize insights and usage to engage consumers, consistently improve measurements and reporting, identify areas to of growth
- Growth of sales via brand’s DTC enabled websites
- Champion digital transformation across the marketing organization—enhancing how we leverage martech tools, data, and automation to drive growth.
- Champion the latest methodologies, disruptive thinking and digital enablers that can accelerate our consumer data framework and in turn our marketing performance transformation.
- Stay on top of digital and social trends, platform innovation, and consumer behavior shifts to evolve our approach.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Brand, eCommerce, IT, Media & Analytics) to ensure seamless integration of content, platforms, and campaigns.
Knowledge and Experience
- 10+ years of digital marketing experience, with a strong background in social media strategy, content marketing, and digital channel performance with clear understanding of end-to-end user journey across all channels: search, mobile, media, web, email, social and paid media leading to full conversion.
- Proven track record leading multi-brand digital marketing efforts, ideally within CPG, beverage, or lifestyle categories.
- Deep understanding of social media algorithms, creative best practices, and performance analytics.
- Strong grasp of CRM, SEO, DTC platforms and performance drivers and broader digital ecosystem strategy.
- Demonstrated success in leading digital innovation, team capability building, and technology adoption.
- Highly collaborative, strategic thinker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven results bridging internal teams, external agencies and partners, a team-oriented player that thrives in a collaborative environment
- Ability to translate marketing and commercial objectives, and use insights to drive value, competitive advantage and build brand equity

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $161,300 - $210,000. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience and skill set against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
