Job Description:

The Community Solution Education System seeks a dynamic and strategic Director of Outreach and Partnership Development to spearhead initiatives focused on student enrollment growth across our six colleges and universities. This role will play a pivotal part in identifying and cultivating partnerships with community organizations, profession-focused groups, and military-affiliated audiences, including service members, veterans, and their families. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director will collaborate with admissions teams across the system to create and execute innovative strategies that align with institutional goals and support the unique needs of prospective students.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Development and Partnership Building: Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement outreach strategies aimed at driving student enrollment growth.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with community and military organizations to deliver mutually beneficial educational programs and partnerships.
  • Community and Military Engagement: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with community organizations, military installations, and other relevant entities to enhance recruitment and student support. Additionally, ensure recruitment and support pathways for military-affiliated students by addressing their unique needs in recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Outreach and Grassroots Implementation: In collaboration with institution admissions leadership, develop and execute comprehensive outreach and grassroots plans aimed at reaching key audiences, with a particular focus on military and community partners. This includes designing and implementing initiatives that effectively engage prospective students through tailored workshops, informational sessions, and community events.
  • System-wide Collaboration: Work closely with admissions teams at each college and university to align outreach efforts with overall enrollment goals and to ensure effective communication and follow-up with prospective students.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making and Performance Management: Continuously monitor and evaluate outreach activities and initiatives, leveraging data and reporting to inform strategic direction and drive improvements. Regularly assess team performance against established growth objectives, utilizing key metrics to provide actionable feedback and support that fosters professional development and success.
  • Goal Setting and Achievement: Ensure growth in new student recruitment across the system. Specific goal expectations will be created for military-affiliated students for each institution requiring oversight and goal attainment.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support for admissions staff on effective outreach practices and engagement strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor two outreach staff members, including one based at Edwards Air Force Base, setting clear new student growth goals for both the team and individual members to drive performance and accountability.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, marketing, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of admissions leadership experience, with a preference for additional expertise in enrollment management, outreach, or partnership development. Demonstrated success in developing and executing recruitment strategies for military-affiliated and graduate student populations.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of higher education trends and enrollment management. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and electronic communication tools. Analytical and data-driven mindset for strategic decision-making. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational access.
  • Additional Qualifications: Military affiliation or experience is preferred. Passion for higher education and alignment with The Community Solution Education System’s mission. Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

This opportunity is budgeted at $90,000 - 110,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
