How will you make an impact in this role?

As we continue growing our customer base through innovation, we expect increased processes to implement, and more complexities to handle. Critical to this is our ability to ensure new or existing products operate seamlessly, with particular emphasis on proposed Pricing, Product, Line, or credit risk changes. We are seeking a colleague that can deliver comprehensive business self-testing and enhanced product controls, critical to the day-to-day operations of the Lending business.

This role will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies to:

  • Provide strategic direction to deliver effective validation, identification, quantification, communication and management of potential risks to the ICS business. Engaging and collaborating with other colleagues across other business units will be key to your success.
  • Work with product, risk, and marketing teams to enable long-term profitable growth: You will partner and collaborate with colleagues across international markets to identify and evaluate growth opportunities and launch product-specific & portfolio-wide enhancements.
  • Drive Excellence across Product actions to grow our business: Design, lead, and operate an effective Product Committee that interrogates change proposals across product design, product economics, and credit risk. Delivering outstanding products for our customers and shareholders calls for operational excellence in everything we do.
  • Actionable insights: Deliver executive insights that summarize self-testing outcomes, offering senior leadership with insights into how effective our controls are, and surface opportunities to further strengthen our processes.
  • Communicate, build, and build relationships: Demonstrate a passion for building strong working relationships across regional and international partners (product, marketing, credit risk, insights, servicing, operational risk, technology, GCO, LOBCO) to deliver lending excellence. You’re able to articulate to colleagues at all levels the strategic direction and operational health of the business.
  • Lead with a customer first approach, and one that is grounded with the external environment: You will have international experience, a customer-first approach, and do things the right way to help the international business excel.
  • Develop and grow talent: Support the growth and development of your team and colleagues across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a high-growth product or risk management team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to sift through data, find opportunities and update senior leadership teams as required.
  • Has shown to be a thoughtful and inspiring leader that can work effectively across different teams.
  • Experience of navigating technology platforms and systems to improve customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A good understanding of the international product landscape across lending, charge, and loans.
  • Able to forecast, plan, lead and implement innovative solutions that generate result.
