Job Responsibilities:

·American Express is seeking to hire an enthusiastic, driven, forward-thinking, leader who will lead a talented team to help drive distributed software lifecycle management activities for over 1000 software titles driving $500M in yearly expense.The team will support activities across contracts, standardized configurations (Application Building Blocks), deployments, cost optimization, and compliance.The team will have an additional responsibility for identifying software used in the Phoenix datacenter and understanding the bubble cost risks associated with the new datacenter being built and developing mitigations to those risks.

Key Responsibilities:

·Managed governance processes required to maintain over 400 Architectural Building Blocks that define how software will be configured, inspected, and managed

·Develop criteria for evaluating over 1000 software titles to determine which should have Architectural Building blocks

·Review contracts to identify metrics that drive software costs and ensure processes are in-place to monitor and manage consumption

·Provide software owner with reporting on software consumption trends and contract risks

·Review contracts to identify all software used in IPC1 to determine what bubble cost risks are associated with the build and migration to IPCW.

·Work with software owners to ensure they’re meeting all regulatory expectations and adhering to periodic software scanning requirements

·Attract, retain, and grow top talent, providing guidance, career development and mentorship to team members.

Qualifications:

·10+ years of overall technology industry experience and technical delivery for large-scale organizations or start-up

·5+ years of relevant experience with software lifecycle including contract licensing management, provisioning, cost control, optimizations,

·Extensive experience as a leader within a Technology organization and/or in a product development company with experience developing observability and self-healing capabilities

·Ability to lead multiple priorities and rapidly guide the organization through change moments.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership to overcome challenges and inspire change.

·Experience of software development practices and strong automation background

  • Understand how effectively deliver innovative products that link customer needs and business drivers together.
  • Possess extraordinary influential and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus and tangible outcomes, demonstrated by breaking down silos and fostering cross functional collaboration
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to impact all levels across functions, conduct intelligent business and technology conversations with SVP and/or EVP level business leaders.
  • Able to define precise, well-understood objectives and key results for the department, teams, and individuals.

Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
