Job Summary
The Kentucky Energy Planning and Inventory Commission (EPIC) is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director. EPIC, administered by the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, is an independent state commission tasked with insuring sufficiency, reliability and resiliency of the Kentucky electric power system. The executive director will be responsible to the executive committee of the commission and carry out the functions assigned by the commission board. The executive director will serve as subject-matter expert to the commission and supervise commission staff. Duties will include proposing an annual work plan, collection of data, analysis and modeling of the power system, economic and demand forecasting, and reporting. The executive director will represent the commission at the local, state and national level including all regulatory proceedings. Proven leadership, technical abilities and effective communication skills are required.
