Job Summary

PRE-HIRE position.

Carry out assigned research assistant duties in professor’s laboratory. It is expected that students will contribute, on average, 20 hours to research or other activities specified by the advisor each week. These hours do not include time that the student devotes to course work. Assigned duties may include, but not limited to: assisting with research projects, conducting your own research project, helping with teaching activities and helping with extension activities. Research Assistants in the Department of Animal & Food Sciences must meet the requirements in “Guidelines for Graduate Students, Department of Animal & Food Sciences.” This appointment will terminate of funding to the program, or in the event of unsatisfactory academic record or progress toward the degree.
