Title: Health Sciences Division Administrator

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences, the Health Sciences Division Administrator will be a 12-month non-faculty position. This role will include, but is not limited to, providing the following administrative leadership for Division: academic assessment and discipline-specific accreditation, clinical reporting requirements, program marketing and recruitment, clinical affiliate and articulation agreements, course scheduling, offsite/dual offerings, and faculty workload and evaluation.

Job Duties:

Work closely with the Dean of Health Sciences in creating a vision for growth and maintenance of excellency and to ensure that the programs are up to date with current developments. Lead, evaluate, plan, and coordinate divisional compliance (Department of Education (DOE), Southern Association of College and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), Volunteer State Community College (VSCC)) efforts, divisional projects, and compliance/accreditation priorities in consultation with the Divisional Dean. Interface with Dean, faculty, staff, and ancillary offices to develop and execute enrollment management strategies to affect recruitment, retention, and student success. Work collaboratively with Admissions to recruit student populations for programs within the Health Sciences. Work with Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to develop marketing materials for recruitment purposes and to promote media recognition of faculty and students to enhance the image of programs and the College. Coordinate medical terminology courses during the summer term. Assist in the coordination of the Division’s First Year Experience courses and offsite/dual offerings. Ensure the Division’s Advisory Boards follow College and accreditation identified processes. Develop Health Science articulation agreements with Program Directors and the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. Participate in the Collegewide scheduling processes, meeting established deadlines, and coordinating with Directors in scheduling classes at the College’s various sites. Aid and promote professional development among faculty and staff. Participate in Health Sciences related community events in the College’s 11-county service area. Serve as the Division’s liaison for clinical reporting requirements. Coordinate with the Grants office to manage grants and associated projects. Assist the Dean in day-to-day operations and directs the Division in the Dean’s absence. Attend state, national, and local meetings geared toward program's growth and enhancement. Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in one of the Health Sciences programs VSCC offers.
Tennessee licensure or the ability to obtain a license in one of the Health Sciences programs VSCC offers.
Teaching experience: 2 years in higher education.
Clinical experience: 2 years in healthcare.
Academic assessment and accreditation experience: 2 years.
Work-related experience specific to a VSCC Health Sciences program: 4 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
Community college teaching experience.
Health Sciences Program Director experience.

Ability to problem solve.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to gather and effectively analyze information, trends, and data to facilitate program
improvement as well as program identification, development, and implementation.
Ability to provide leadership and inspire cooperation and collaboration amongst Division employees.
Ability to communicate inter-departmentally, cross-divisionally, and externally across the College’s 11-county service area.
Ability to plan and manage projects.

Pay Rate: $56,881 - $71,101 annual salary depending on experience
