Job Summary:

The Human Resources/Payroll Associate is responsible for assistance with personnel records, Continuous Improvements Plans (CIP’s), onboarding/training, records retention, and supports payroll processes as needed.

Job Duties:

Backup for the Executive Administrative Assistant to include answering telephone and welcoming visitors, routing paperwork, working with outlook calendars, and maintaining filing systems. Assists with maintaining office flow during peak business hours to include assisting employees with new hire paperwork and other forms; produces employee ID cards. Collaborates with other departments to coordinate an effective and smooth flow of documents both in person and electronic and help meet deadlines. Coordinates policy preparation and submission. Assists with contacting and following up with employees/supervisors to ensure onboarding/training requirements are completed. Performs support functions for the Office of Human Resources. Plans, schedules, allocates and prioritizes workload. Works with highly sensitive materials and information. Designs, organizes, and maintains specialized and custom forms, records, reports, spreadsheets, files, and logs to support work processes in areas of assigned responsibility. Assists with preparing and tracking the Continuous Improvement Plan for Human Resources. Responsible for Records Retention reporting and compliance for Human Resources. Assists with processing employment verification forms. Assists with responding to general inquiries from employees regarding payroll related issues including taxes, policies, procedures and leave reporting. Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher.
Experience with Banner or similar ERP system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Mastery of Word, Excel, and electronic signature software.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a faculty, staff, and student population.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must present a confident, professional demeanor.
Must be very detail oriented and have an exceptional ability to scan for accuracy and completeness.
Must be able to master a high number of tasks, often simultaneously.
Must be able to look for ways to streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Pay Rate: $38,206 - $45,847 annual salary depending on experience
