Job Description

Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative for the Aftermarket Business is responsible for partnering with the
outside sales team to proactively sell service contracts and aftermarket products for our Analytical
Instruments business. This role is a hybrid position, based out of Boulder, Colorado and focuses on driving market penetration of consumables and services, accelerating revenue growth, and building long-term customer relationships within a defined geography.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Engage customers and prospects via email and phone to identify and close sales opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of installed instruments and provide customer quotations using CRM systems, ensuring personalized and timely responses
  • Develop tailored proposals for customer service contracts and consumables products
  • Analyze customer accounts to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Provide regular feedback to management on ways to improve inside sales processes and enhance customer experience
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including lead qualification, support, and field sales, to create seamless and positive customer interactions
  • Actively seek and respond to customer feedback, using insights to drive innovations in products and services


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:

  • Strong professional selling skills with a focus on consultative, customer-centric approaches
  • Ability to answer technical questions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure responsive customer service
  • Strong oral and written customer communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of analytical instruments and their applications in customer environments
  • Experience in the scientific or laboratory equipment industry, with an understanding of customer pain points
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships

Education & Experience
Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of business-to-business commercial or sales experience, with a track record of
  • customer satisfaction

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Sciences, Engineering)
  • 5+ years of inside sales experience in a technical field

  • Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $30.00 - 40.00 hourly
