How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and financial support to business clients of all sizes. The SME Managed Marketing, Customer Marketing team supports top clients in the Small and Medium Enterprise segment, through both marketing directly to Card Members, and partnering with Account Development and Sales teams to drive spend and help Card Members maximize their Membership. Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, the Manager, Managed Customer Offer Marketing will be responsible for leading the next phase of spend offers for US SME Managed customers in partnership with Product, Loyalty Marketing, Analytics Investment & Measurement (AIM), Risk, Governance, Fair Lending, Compliance, Legal, Servicing, Operational Excellence and SME.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented marketer who has a strong understanding of both the needs of Middle Market customers and the needs of Account Development teams. This person will lead the campaign strategy for launching spend offers for our top middle market customers, closely working on the development and execution of offer details and creating and delivering, comprehensive training, client-facing collateral (one pagers and email templates) and internal supporting materials such as an engagement activity calendar to create a cadence for discussion on offer enrollment, encouraging spend, etc.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent US SME Managed Marketing in cross functional working team, developing offer constructs and deployment strategies
- Collaborate with Loyalty Marketing team on direct to customer communication (email, MYCA)
- Design and deliver comprehensive training and supporting materials to maximize engagement and spend during the offer period
- Manage end to end approval process for all materials
- Partner with US SME teams to socialize strategies ahead of launch and lead feedback sessions post launch
- Serve as the subject matter expert post offer launch, providing solutions and guidance for issues and questions
- Identify opportunities to continue to evolve our offer strategy
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, including managing multiple priorities, superb attention to detail, meeting timelines and operating effectively under changing conditions
- Natural teammate with strong communication skills and experience gaining alignment up, down and across large cross functional teams
- Ability to articulate strategy and updates in written presentations to leadership.
- Robust analytical skills, with an interest in identifying relevant trends and using data to inform strategies
- Self-starter who can thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- External perspective and competitive curiosity on offers
- B2B Marketing experience in the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of the US SME customer base
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
