Position Summary

The Nurse Manager in the ASC leads the RNs and support staff while delivering expert nursing care throughout the peri-operative phases. The Nurse Manager is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This role also supports the ASC Director in the daily operations of the facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Nurse Manager include, but are not limited to:

Nurse Manager

  • Manages staffing and labor, ensuring efficient RN and support staff scheduling and performance
  • Drives performance management through regular evaluations, coaching, and development
  • Mentors and develops team members to promote high performance and professional growth
  • Leads company initiatives and projects to improve patient care and efficiency
  • Oversees training programs to ensure clinical competency, safety, and compliance
  • All other duties as assigned

RN

  • Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout their surgical experience
  • Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with all patients, physicians and staff
  • Assist in patient education during all phases of their experience at the Center
  • Assist in assuring that the proper supplies, instruments and equipment are available for the procedure
  • Assist in assuring that equipment is functioning properly
  • Monitor use of all supplies. Assist with inventory control by proper count of supplies/time used
  • Document appropriately the care that is given to the patient
  • Continuing education to meet State requirements and keep current with health care changes
  • Display professionalism at work and in the community as a representative of the Center.
  • Take an active role on committees within the department
  • Identifies actual and potential risk to patients and others and takes action to minimize or eliminate risk and maximize safety

Education/Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
  • Current State RN licensure and CPR, ACLS and PALS accreditation
  • 2 years of progressing leadership experience desired
  • 4 years of OR, Recovery Room, Intensive Care or Emergency Room experience is required

Salary range

  • $100,339 - $180,610 per year
