Location: 2-3 days onsite/week with Tuesdays required in Mountville, PA

Role Purpose:

The Plant Controller plays a critical role within the Global Manufacturing Organization, ensuring that internal manufacturing costs are optimized and accurately reflected in the Hain Celestial P&L. The role supports the Global Hain Supply Chain’s strategic initiatives by providing financial leadership, driving cost governance, and partnering closely with various stakeholders to deliver on the company’s financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective site cost governance of $10-75M in spend across internal manufacturing sites through democratized insights, consistent categorization of productivity and inflation drivers, and active leadership in decision support for $100M in ingredient and packaging inventory.
  • Evaluate global spend management practices, production yield, and efficiencies to identify improvement areas, enabling future insights and leveraging the global manufacturing asset base.
  • Partner with Site Leadership, VP of Regional Manufacturing, Indirect Procurement, Finance, and the Transformation Office to deliver on strategic program initiatives, ensuring alignment with Hain’s Fuel for Growth objectives.
  • Provide decision support to the Site Leadership team, focusing on yield loss, plant conversion spend areas, and net working capital trade-offs.
  • Safeguard site assets, including inventory and property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), while promoting a strong control environment.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure that productivity pipelines are sufficient across the site and assist in ideation and deep dives to deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure that site net manufacturing is on time, on budget, and delivers the required fuel, establishing consistent cost management practices with Site Manufacturing.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with a strong background in manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Demonstrated success in high-performance team structures, particularly within the food and CPG industries.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, CPA) or relevant certification.
  • Experience with global manufacturing operations and cost management. 

Competencies and Proficiency Requirements:

  • Strategic thinking and financial acumen with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and trade-offs.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in financial management and stakeholder partnership, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with reporting and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead change, motivate teams, and execute strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Scope:

Financial/Budgetary Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing $10-75M in site costs and $100M in inventory.

Team Size: One direct report and significant influence across the organization, including collaboration with Site Leadership and other key stakeholders.

Conditions of Role:

  • Travel Requirements: Less than 10% travel required.
  • Physical Conditions: Primarily office-based role with occasional site visits.
  • Work Environment: High-performing, fast-paced professional environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $123,000 -$145,000 / year USD (commensurate with experience and location)
