Position Purpose
We are looking for a new Powertrain Regional Sales Manager to drive new business and further develop our share of wallet in existing distributors and direct OEMs. This dynamic role includes a range of areas where you can make an immediate impact for our existing channel partners and customers, and where you can help us shape the future of the role and the business.
This position will report to the OEM Global Sales & Applications Manager.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Account management of Distributors and Key Direct OEM Accounts in your region – defining and monitoring annual KPIs & objectives to meet our ambitious goals and ensuring accurate forecasting and order management.
- Ensuring revenue, volume, profitability, and qualitative targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Championing the voice of the customer within the business. Defining and implementing projects intended to improve customer relationships, customer value, and grow the business with assigned accounts.
- Continually understanding and seeking insights on your markets, segments, trends, competitive products, and pricing to enable development of sales tools, market analyses and go-to-market strategies.
- Deeply understanding our products and our customers’ requirements and defining opportunities for product and option development and improvement.
- Developing pricing strategies by aligning key stakeholders and ensuring constant monitoring of market price dynamics.
- Training your Channel Partners and Customers and maintaining the continuing education of their sales and technical teams.
- Representing JCB at industry shows & events and Channel-sponsored events.
- Supporting our annual budget and planning phases and providing insights from your region into our communications team.
- Managing your team, setting goals for their training and development, performance, and career planning and providing ongoing, consistent coaching and development.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A university degree or equivalent experience in sales, business or engineering or a related subject
- Extensive sales experience in engines/transmissions/axles or equipment
- Great communication skills, including prospecting, negotiating, managing expectations, and presenting to all levels of an organization.
- Fluency in English as a baseline, plus a European language is a bonus.
- Ability to travel globally up to 30%
- A high level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce or another CRM tool
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- A good attitude, reliability and diversity
