SCAD Atlanta is seeking a passionate and innovative Professor of Film and Television to join our vibrant academic community. The ideal candidate will be a creative professional with a strong background in both the theoretical and practical aspects of film and television production, and an ability to inspire and mentor students in a hands-on, collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to teach and guide students in a dynamic creative setting, fostering their growth as storytellers, critical thinkers, and industry-ready professionals.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, forward-thinking educational environment, where students are encouraged to explore new ideas, experiment with emerging media, and develop their unique creative voices. They will be expected to maintain an active professional practice, engage with the industry, and stay current with the latest trends in film and television production. As part of a creative college, the professor will be encouraged to collaborate across disciplines, participate in artistic projects, and contribute to the broader creative community both inside and outside the classroom. SCAD film and television students are immersed in a creative studio environment where cutting-edge technology and academic and professional instruction enable them to create award-winning media. Student productions have been screened at premier film festivals around the world, including the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, the Los Angeles Film Festival, and South by Southwest.

As a professor, you will join SCAD and its School of Film and Acting in providing educational opportunities of excellent quality to its students within a professional environment wherein knowledge, creativity, discipline, and character are developed. To accomplish this, you will teach and perform other assigned duties in support of this purpose.

Minimum Qualifications:
• MFA in Film and Television or its equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Extensive professional experience and qualifications in film and television
