Professor in Mathematical Sciences

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is seeking a Health Data Artificial Intelligence/Predictive Modelling researcher with senior level expertise in statistical modeling for big data and/or high-performance data analytics for a tenured position at the Full Professor level for the Regents' Research Excellence Program. Successful candidates are expected to have developed a productive research program, mentored, and taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and directed Ph.D. dissertations. Candidates with experience in industry and/or applied interdisciplinary research projects are also encouraged to apply. Anticipated appointment date is fall 2025.

Job Requirements:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, mathematics or a related field, expertise in using AI and ML for predictive modelling with health data, a strong record of research accomplishments and record of securing extramural funding.
