Job Summary

An exciting opportunity is available in the University of Kentucky Light Microscopy facility as a Microscopy Imaging Scientist to support the daily operations in the facility. The Light Microscopy Core operates 10 high-end microscopes, such as point scanning confocal microscopy, spinning disk confocal microscopy, multiphoton microscopy, super-resolution microscopy. We are looking for a highly motived individual who has a strong desire to learn state-of-the-art technology and enjoys working with people. This is a long-term position with opportunities for career development. Responsibilities include instrument operation, user training, and various sample preparation all in support of the entire research community of the University of Kentucky. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Preferred Education/Experience

Master or above degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science is highly preferred. Experience in optical systems or microscopy.
