Full Time

As a SCADask research assistant, you will be part of a collaborative team, working with faculty and students, other research assistants, and project teams on research that adheres to SCAD's academic standards. You will be responsible for the creation of high-quality documents, research reports, and other deliverables that communicate complex research findings. You will oversee the delivery of surveys, including timeline management and logistics, to ensure participant engagement.

The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as information visualization, interpersonal communication, and organizational abilities. The candidate should have proficient knowledge of developing complex ideas into clear, compelling content and an ability to produce polished, accurate, publication-ready documents. A strong understanding of academic research methods and data interpretation is crucial.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or communications
  • At least one year of professional experience in research writing, academic writing, or a similar environment
  • Knowledge of citation formats (e.g., APA, MLA) and academic publishing standards
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related discipline
  • Experience in higher education or research institutions
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign), survey research software (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Google Forms), and AI

Travel Required:  

  •   Less than 10%

Work Hours: As noted in the Employment Agreement.
