The J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts and the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Art at Texas Tech University enthusiastically seek nominations and applications for a visionary leader as Director of the School of Art (SOA) at the rank of tenured, full professor. The ideal candidate will lead a thriving program that exemplifies the highest standards of a creative, multi-faceted, and scholarly community. The new Director is expected to assume office in the summer of 2025 and reports to the Dean of the College. The schools of the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts provide a supportive visual and performing arts education. Students join a community of 1100 arts-dedicated undergraduate and graduate students that includes D.M.A. and Ph.D. candidates.
