Job Description and Requirements

The Security Alarm Specialist provides enthusiastic, professional, quality assistance by chat, email and phone to coworkers, branch staff, and vendors. Identify, analyze and address terminal service needs, while simultaneously directing vendors and other various support teams on status of terminals. Provide end to end service oversight and ultimate resolution of terminal and branch alarm issues . Enforce Security Policies & Procedures while supporting Safety & Security Team Members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first line support and a resource for all branches with alarm system related needs to include basic ATM/ETM alerts and faults, as well as branch alarm systems.
  • Ensure timely service for calls placed with vendors and escalate issues when appropriate.   
  • Communicate complex and technical information to vendors, departments and management team. 
  • Review, research, and authenticate ATM/ETM disputes/investigations using security systems.  
  • Maintain alarm permits for specific ATM/ETM sites. 
  • Safe guard member and credit union interests practicing advanced fraud detection techniques.
  • Assist with Safety & Security Audits within the Safety & Security Dept. 
  • Maintain rapport and enhance relationships with vital areas of the CU and external vendors. 
  • Meet or exceed department goals and objectives through key performance indicators and core values. 
  • Use cognitive thinking abilities to identify trends and improvement opportunities and present possible solutions to management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year previous job-related work experience
  • Some FI and/or a year of customer service or Call center experience
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and demanding environment
  • Technical problem investigation and resolution skills
  • Ability to operate several systems and multiple screens at the same time
  • Type 10-key by touch
  • Proficient in utilizing PC, software, and other office equipment
  • Must be able to work a flexible Monday-Friday schedule
