Overview

LMI is seeking a full-time Senior Budget Analyst to lead the MYP workstream in support of our Client.  Support functions may range across financial management support/PPBE activities to include cost estimation and analysis, IT program resource allocation, Multi-Year Programming, IT budget formulation, and IT budget execution tracking and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and support the MYP team in the execution of relevant duties and at the direction of the relevant Government leads. 
  • Track and analyze IT spend patterns
  • Analyze resourcing requests and requirements
  • Monitor and track obligations and expenditures of funds; detects, reconciles, and remedies fiscal discrepancies; and provides relevant reporting to decision makers.
  • Perform investment analysis practices including life cycle cost estimating, cost benefit analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, and business case analysis.
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as directed by the customer.
  • Build briefings illustrating financial data trend analysis on various programs across the enterprise and present findings to leadership.
  • Support ad hoc, quick turn research, analysis and justification exercises within Budget Execution workstreams 
  • Cross functional coordination and other duties outside of MYP may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a management, business, finance, economics, engineering, quantitative/qualitative analysis, IT or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a financial management business-related field, in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of federal fiscal administration and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPB&E) system is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in various data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and database programs is helpful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write, and proofread a variety of general business documents and collateral materials.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong planning skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize projects and assignments with some supervision. Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects within deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and lead client meetings. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing business efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
  • Candidates must be eligible to pass a Public Trust background investigation to work in this role.

Target salary range: $59,934 - $104,286
