SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Physician Services is responsible for the implementation, direction and oversight of a physician practices and other practice management process projects. as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
- Provide oversight and direction for the implementation of strategies to meet company initiatives of promoting growth.
- Oversee practice activities to ensure a robust financial and clinical program with a multi-tier approach to meeting and building relationships with current and future providers and staff. Oversee multiple practices - experience with multiple sites/regions.
- Manage profit and loss for each practice- finance monitoring experience. Ability to identify trends and issues to resolve and improve.
- Oversight of Day-to-Day operations which include direct practice management experience of providers and practice manager and regional operations directors:
- Schedule utilization
- Revenue Cycle Management
- Performance Metrics oversight and development
- Staff education
- Provider Relations
- Work with outside entities such as hospitals, dialysis units, access centers, and transplant unit to develop relationships to ensure high quality patient care and access
- Payer Relations
- Referral Source Relations
- Oversee and recommend, develop and implement changes to all clinical and business operational policy and procedures- familiar with outpatient workflow for physician practice.
- Manage quality management programs (CKCC) - Experience with nephrology and physician participation with CMS and CMMI programs. Collaboration with internal Value Based Care team for improved outcomes and performance.
- Lead managers on monthly presentation on practice performance to lead physicians and practice leads. This includes performance metrics, financial performance, and practice volume- Experience with analysis of data to highlight successes and to identify areas of improvement and solutions for the practice. Experience in Revenue Cycle Management and practice management systems to assist in training and finding trends which would need further exploration.
- Monitors KPIs identified by the Vice President of Physician Services and insures meeting or exceeding the KPIs.
- Experience with RCM process and payor credentialing efforts to improve contracted rates. Meets with key payor provider relations personnel and establishes a working relationship with those entities.
- Develop new recruitment opportunities with USRC partners, working with internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Drive referral process for practices to develop opportunities in line with market demands and increase market share. Monitor and report on trends and the impact of various marketing and outreach initiatives. Collaborate with applicable internal teams to deliver efficient services and a seamless integration with USRC activities.
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills to positively interact with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Attend on-site and virtual events and national industry conferences as needed.
- Collaborate closely with applicable USRC teams to manage workflow.
- Track and manage negotiations for contract renewals for existing physician agreements, provider licensing and real estate contracts.
- Recruits, trains, develops, and supervises personnel.
- Maintains effective personnel management and employee relations, including evaluating the performance of all personnel; approving and submitting all hours worked and counseling and disciplining employees.
- Upholds management goals of corporation by leading staff in team concepts and promoting a team effort.
- Effectively communicates expectations; accepts accountability and holds others accountable for performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job including practice visits.
