ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accounting Manager to join our fully remote, fast-growing international digital marketing agency. Reporting to the US Group Controller, this role will manage a small team, oversee the accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation process, prepare intercompany reconciliations for 21 international subsidiaries, and ensure timely processing of commissions for our sales and client services teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NetSuite, Salesforce, Ramp and Excel, and a solid understanding of global accounting practices.

To be considered, candidates must currently reside and be eligible to work in the United States. This is a fully remote role with flexible working hours to collaborate across time zones. Central or Mountain time zone preferred.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounting Operations: Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Lead the monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions across 21 international subsidiaries, working with our international partners and ensuring alignment with global accounting standards and accurate reporting.
  • Commission Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of commissions for the sales and client services teams, including commission calculations, reporting, and adjustments as needed.
  • Financial Reporting: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • ERP Management: Leverage NetSuite for efficient financial management, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. Troubleshoot issues and optimize system usage for better financial visibility.
  • Salesforce Integration: Collaborate with the Sales and Client Services teams to ensure accurate commission data is pulled from Salesforce, integrating it with financial reports in NetSuite.
  • Ramp Integration: Oversee accounts payable, credit card transactions and reimbursement requests in Ramp. Review statement reconciliations in NetSuite.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Support external audits by providing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures.
  • Team Management & Development: Supervise and mentor a team of two accountants, assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance reviews to ensure continuous growth and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for streamlining processes, automating workflows, and improving system integration to enhance financial reporting and operations.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency translations
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP system.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce for sales commission management and data integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/ IFRS and international accounting regulations, preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across international teams.
  • Previous experience in a remote-first environment supervising teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience working in a Digital Marketing or SaaS business model.
  • Strong understanding of multi-currency consolidations and foreign exchange accounting.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a remote work setting.

ABOUT THE COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: USD $110,000.00 to $125,000.00; depending on experience and skills
  • Discretionary annual bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary
