In this job, you’ll work closely with business line partners to provide oversight and guidance for Transmission and Distribution technical programs to ensure delivery of high quality training to enable a safe, proficient and compliant workforce. You will manage resources and budget levels to meet strategic objectives and operational needs for the following training organizations: Distribution, Transmission, Mobile Training and the Drive School. In addition, you will be responsible for the safety and growth of the T&D Training facility, staff, and students. Responsibilities
- Enhances advanced training programs on energy management systems (EMS), network applications, and power system simulations to enhance real-time operational performance
- Leads needs assessments to identify gaps in EMS, network applications, and simulation skills and knowledge
- Creates customized curriculums, educational materials, hands-on exercises, and simulations to train internal and external stakeholders on utilizing EMS tools and advanced network applications.
- Evaluates training effectiveness through assessments aligned to learning objectives and NERC requirements
- Improves learning courses, in-person exercises, and training labs focused on building skills in utilizing EMS applications and network tools
- Designs and manages a training metrics program that tracks progress in skills proficiency
- Leads the implementation of compliant technical training documentation and systems across the company by ensuring proper version control and maintenance procedures.
- Partners with key stakeholders to identify critical upgrades, new platforms, and technical tools that will be rolled out to develop comprehensive training programs in alignment with these projects to upskill operations teams on new technical capabilities
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience with energy management, delivery, grid control or power system planning.
- Experience creating customized curriculum, educational materials, and simulations for training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience applying safety leadership practices with high hazard trades to enhance culture
- Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills to build consensus with client and partner organizations.
- Experience developing strategies, implementing solutions and measuring success
- Experience collaborating with, and making recommendations to, Senior Management and Executives.
- Excellent, engaging, and persuasive communication / presentation skills (oral & written); both 1:1 and large audience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Chino. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at Rancho Cucamonga, Corona, Tulare and Daggett.
- Position will require up to 20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
