Our Staff Accountant is responsible for accurately processing invoice payments for our Refined Products department by utilizing Solarc Accounting System and working with other internal departments and external vendors to resolve any issues in a timely manner and efficiently. In this role, you will reconcile system inventory data to external source documents to ensure accuracy of the financial records. If you are someone who has high integrity, great customer service, and a high degree of accuracy, this is the job for you!
- Ensure accurate processing of invoices based upon contracts, pricing and volumetric information.
- Work with vendors and other internal departments to research and resolve invoices discrepancies.
- Review and analyze invoice documentation to make sure it meets the requirements of company policy
- Documentation retention - copying, filing and distributing invoices to other internal departments.
- Reconcile inland inventory
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as required
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
- Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:
- Associates degree in Accounting/Business or similar field, or 2+ years with relevant work experience
- Proficient data entry and management along with an aptitude for numbers
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Strong analytical skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer Service Oriented - ability to relate to vendors and other internal departments
