The U.S. Consumer and Digital Technology (USCDT) Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Responsible for Business Process Management architecture which includes increasing adoption of and enhancing our patented software automation platform, delivering process discovery and mining technology products, and providing innovative solutions to support professional services engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • 25% of time spent on Hands-on technical projects; Apply analysis based on research and introspection to recommend solutions.
  • Design and lead solutions that provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be extended and reused across one or more portfolios.
  • Ensure architecture is consistent with enterprise architecture standards, guidelines and principles.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure that implementations are aligned with the Technical Platform’s Blueprint specifications and roadmaps.
  • Meaningful contribution to technology direction, develop architecture and influence implementation to gain measurable business improvements.
  • Regularly work with other functional teams' leadership and engineers to align and use solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Apply specialized knowledge of industry standards and best practices to assign initiatives and adjacent solutions.
  • Identify and take on complex and/or broad-ranging problems and issues.
  • Interact with business partners to better understand their objectives and help them understand the technical landscape.
  • Extend business product innovation through the introduction, adoption and implementation of technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of active engineering and/or architecture experience in a complex environment and/or comparable experience such as: Successful design, creation and deployment of multiple enterprise-grade technology assets, including integration of cross-platform solutions that span several Agile Product teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge within several architectural subject areas with deep understanding of relevant supporting architecture domains (business, data, application, technical, integration, security, etc.) to support the advancement of business products
  • Routinely creates and drives adoption of technology strategy, introducing new and impactful technologies based on research and demonstrating viability through POC efforts
  • Ability to deliver and adapt solution architecture to meet broader needs of the enterprise, solving unrivaled problems that span multiple technology platforms. Solutions are highly available using multiple availability zones and operate at global enterprise scale.
  • Able to lead efforts in the prevention, diagnosis, and resolution of system outages as an authority in the underlying architecture
  • Knowledge and/or experience in technology architecture – containers, servers, networks, databases, messaging middleware, cloud management with demonstrable knowledge of at least one public cloud provider.
  • Recent experience in COTS product evaluation and buy/build analysis.
  • Engineering mentality with ability to write/read/debug code, regardless of language; Java/Python/ReactJS preferred
  • Experience in all phases of SDLC (envisioning to production).
  • Cooperation and collaboration with architects and other specialists across multiple organizations.
  • Regularly provides specialized technical mentorship to others in work

Domain-Specific Skills

  • Knowledge and/or experience with case management, work management, business rules, and robotic process automation (RPA) products.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with business/technology automation, process mining and discovery.
  • Experience in solutions related to big data ecosystems as applied to reporting, analytics and AI/ML use cases
  • Exposure and experience with AI – predictive, generative, and agentic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly proficient in delivering technology products and/or frameworks for enterprise scale; Roles may include product architect, pre-sales engineering, professional services or managed service provider.
  • Full understanding of and ability to implement service-oriented architecture, microservices architecture, serverless architecture, etc. including design principles, execution patterns and performance optimization.
  • Extensive experience with producing and consuming services through enterprise-grade APIs or using high-throughput messaging technologies.
  • Advanced channel-specific architecture skills as required by the platform, such as web, mobile, voice or interactive media.

Salary Range: $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
