(Campus). </li></ul>REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>For graduate programs, a terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution in the discipline to be taught, with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline) required.</li><li>For undergraduate programs, a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the discipline to be taught, with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline), is required.</li><li>For associate degree programs in physical therapist assistant, an entry-level degree in physical therapy (PT) or physical therapist assistant (PTA) and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a federally recognized Institutional Accrediting Agency (or its international equivalent) are required. Job Summary
Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.

Salary is $560 per credit hour. Workload adjustments will be made for faculty teaching classes where the number of contact hours exceeds the number of credit hours. Additionally, a travel stipend may be negotiated at time of hire for faculty traveling more than 80 miles each week to teach their classes. For part-time faculty who continue to work at Columbia State, salary is based on collegiate level teaching experience documented during the first semester of teaching.
Part-Time Faculty Duties and Responsibilities
The part-time faculty member reports directly to the dean for assignments/duties and is responsible for:

<li>Preparing for courses as assigned and adhering to departmental course syllabi and course minimum student learning outcomes.</li>
<li>Beginning and ending all classes as schedules.</li>
<li>Organizing, assigning, and supervising learning activities of students in his/her classes.</li>
<li>Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and for informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate records of student attendance/participating and grades.</li>

Job Summary
This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) term appointment reporting to the department chair of Technologies. The Cisco Networking Academy faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in networking and information technology courses as part of the Cisco Networking Academy program. The faculty member will prepare students for Cisco certifications and provide them with essential knowledge and skills in networking, cybersecurity, and related technologies. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities, and organizations. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers lectures to students on topics such as cisco networking and teaches departmental courses during the day (usually four or five days per week), during the evening (usually two nights per week), and occasionally on Saturdays.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates, and grades students' coursework, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom (tutoring), assists in the planning and implementation of the CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) plan at the department and program levels.</li>
<li>Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Writes student laboratory exercises and conducts student laboratory sessions for courses taught.</li>
<li>Participates in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities; college/departmental committee assignments and prepares departmental purchase requisitions.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA (Family Educational Rights Privacy Act) regulations.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned by the program coordinator or department chair.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree or AAS degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
</li>
<li>Cisco certifications such as CCNA, Cisco NetAcad Instructor are highly desirable. 
</li>
<li>CompTIA A+ certification. 
</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and concepts. 
</li>
<li>A background check will be required for the successful candidate.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications

<li>Previous teaching or training experience.</li>
