Basic Purpose:
Under supervision, the Quality Control Technician assists with performing onsite product and equipment inspections, verifications, and testing to ensure the overall safety of food products manufactured within the facility.&nbsp; Secondary duties include, but are not restricted to, maintaining ongoing documentation and data entry of all testing processes and results.&nbsp;
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.&nbsp;
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Preforms various HACCP verifications on all assigned products and escalates any issues of non-compliance for further testing and review</li>
<li>Monitors process testing for individual ingredients and raw material prior to use in full production, employing sensory testing, as needed</li>
<li>Conducts required steps for proper sanitation of all manufacturing equipment and/or verifies cleanliness for proper use</li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all testing measures and associated results within internal reporting and/or tracking systems</li>
<li>Assists with multiple internal and external facility audits requirements to verify compliance with customers and/or 3rd parties, as directed by the Manager</li>
<li>Collects data from various forms and reports and enters relevant data into internal databases and spreadsheets</li>
<li>Assist with SQF employee training on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiating action, as necessary</li>

Present issues and areas of concern to the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller.</li><li>Lead GPS Technical Accounting Network.</li><li>Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting activities.&nbsp; Manage multiple month end close processes and deliverables for accounting and controls.</li><li>Act as key contact for accounting issues and out of period concerns.&nbsp; Identify and implement necessary remediation plans and routinely track and communicate with key stakeholders.&nbsp; Identify, plan and implement process improvements.</li><li>Lead ﬁnancial review of strategic contracts, identifying key accounting issues prior to approval.</li><li>Facilitate understanding of key accounting items for proposed business development activities in the diligence phase through implementation of successful business development deals.</li><li>Support and help progress GPS budget and projection cycles throughout the year, working in coordination with the FP&amp;A team members on GPS Controllers’ Team.</li><li>Lead, coach and develop small team of Finance professionals including one direct report and an Accounting Development Program (ADP) rotational colleague, developing their accounting knowledge and business acumen.</li><li>Provide periodic accounting, policy, process and controls training to Finance, both within GPS and broader finance.</li><li>Key liaison for internal and external audits.</li></ul>Inventory Business Process Owner<ul><li>Responsible for the accounting, oversight and financial reporting of the total company Inventory, (including all stages of the manufacturing inventory and finished goods across all markets).</li><li>Lead the quarterly accounting processes for inventory, including preparation and presentation of the quarterly workday 10 inventory reporting package to Corporate Financial Reporting and the Chief Accounting Officer.</li><li>Ensure accuracy and timeliness of inventory accounting and financial projection and analysis.</li><li>Understand the totality of the control environment for inventory, all applicable policies and processes.</li><li>Drive innovation, efficiency, and standardization across inventory financial management, working closely with GSC Finance and Operations.</li><li>Closely collaborate with Finance function in Commercial and R&amp;D groups to ensure alignment on financial forecasts.</li><li>Support global integration processes, including system and process alignment.</li><li>Together with Tax and Legal entity groups define and implement optimal global financial flows.</li><li>Lead for pre-approval inventory processes, including tracking and approval of RA inventory.</li><li>Coordination and tracking of physical inventory counts.</li><li>Responsible for the accuracy and financial reporting of annual revaluation.</li><li>Liaise with the Rapid Response team and Go Teams, understand demand plan changes and implications on inventory.</li></ul>QualificationsMinimum Requirements<ul><li>Minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related area of study. CPA is required.</li><li>Minimum of ten (10) years of accounting experience, including at least four (4) years of public accounting experience. Experience supporting manufacturing operations is preferred.</li><li>Strong technical accounting capabilities (US GAAP).</li><li>Strong Financial system knowledge, primarily SAP and Cognos TM1.</li><li>Thorough understanding and practical application of ASC 330, Inventory, and 360, Property, Plant &amp; Equipment.</li><li>An understanding of relevant upcoming accounting standards.</li><li>A strong sense of business acumen, applying analogies and experiences to current situations where applicable to provide reasoned and supported outcomes.</li><li>Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets, develop key insights, and ability to explain such information simply to key stakeholders.</li><li>Experience working across cross-matrix teams.</li></ul>#LI-HybridIf you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
