Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Engineering Technology
Campus Location:&nbsp;Sevier Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose:&nbsp;Expected to teach Associate of Applied Science- level Engineering Technology classes and laboratories. This position’s primary area of responsibility will be the Engineering Systems Technology degree, and requires experience in at least two of the following four primary area: Mechanical systems, Computer aided drafting, Machining and inspection, and Operations management. Also, will perform minor repairs and periodic maintenance on equipment assigned to the Engineering Technology Programs.
Essential Job Functions:

<li>Provide instruction and training in the Engineering Systems Technology program and its disciplines. Instruction will cover, but is not limited to, mechanical systems, computer aided design, and manual and CNC machining and operations management.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and processes relative to engineering technology.&nbsp;</li>

This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) term faculty position in the Mechatronics Technology program in the Technologies Department. Job Duties

This is a full-time, tenure track, Faculty position in the Technologies Department. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The appointee is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. The faculty member must be knowledgeable and able to instruct in the following technical subject areas: aerodynamics, meteorology, aircraft systems, safety management systems, airline industry, flight operations management, human factors, and aircraft structures. The individual must be able to conduct flight training on the simulators. The faculty member must be familiar with using a Learning Management System for conducting face-to-face and online classes. The faculty member will be responsible for the coordinating, planning, preparing, presenting, and evaluating classroom instruction and related activities, including overseeing all compliance requirements of the FAR Part 141 standards. The faculty member will also manage agreements with flight training providers with the goal of increasing student completions in the pilot program.
