The Director TSBDC at JSCC will oversee the operations, budget, and strategy for the TSBDC in compliance with the TSBDC-JSCC Annual Contract and the TSBDC Strategic Plan. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of TSBDC programs to individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the TSBDC at JSCC’s territory. To effectively deliver services to a territory of this size, the director will oversee the offices and staff at the primary office in Jackson, Madison County. The Career Exploration Lab Coordinator is responsible for supporting students participating in Mobile Learning Lab outreach events sponsored by Southwest Tennessee Community College. The coordinator acts as the Liaison for all issues related to the Career Exploration Lab. In addition to Lab duties, the coordinator will act as the public recruiter for the Career Exploration Lab at Southwest recruitment events, and support lab training.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Maintain scheduling for Career Exploration labs including support staff, locations for recruitment activities, and reporting activities.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain student liaison support for the lab participants&nbsp;</li>
<li>Troubleshoot student issues and provide monitoring support for lab participants.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop and manage projects and resources to support promotion and recruitment for enrollment at Southwest Tennessee Community College.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain strategies for supporting Career Exploration Lab enrollments, and reporting progress data to other units in the college to promote student enrollment.</li>
<li>Serve as the initial point of contact for all lab complaints.</li>
<li> Develop plans to resolve issues and provide supporting documentation when complaints must be elevated.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve as the public recruitment liaison for the Career Exploration Lab at all college-sponsored recruitment events.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assist with general student and faculty technical support.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High School or equivalent; plus, two years of training in basic electronics or computer maintenance.</li>
<li>Associate's degree in Computer Technology or a related discipline is preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledge of current microcomputer technology and equipment including.</li>
<li>Conduct programming for learning models.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of learning technologies.</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.</li>

General Function:&nbsp;
EMT-Basic Instructor/Coordinator shall mean an individual responsible for the overall coordination of the EMT-Basic Program. The individual shall act as a liaison between faculty, the sponsoring agency, students, the local medical community and the Division of Emergency Medical Services. The individual is also responsible for the delivery of didactic material, demonstration of the psychomotor skills, verification of skill proficiency, and the recruitment and continued development of faculty to meet the needs of the institution.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
2. Currently licensed as a Tennessee EMT-Paramedic, without history of revocation, denial, or suspension of licensure.
3. Experience. Pre-Hospital: Minimum of two years practicing in the pre-hospital environment or one hundred fifty (150) hours of EMS instruction acceptable to the Board. Administrative: Minimum of one year in EMS educational administration.
4. Completion of an EMS Board-approved Instructors’ course.
5. The provisions of subparagraph (a) shall not apply to any EMT-Basic Instructor/Coordinator authorized by the Division prior to July 1, 2001.
&nbsp;Authorization Renewal shall be contingent upon:
1. Assisting with at least seventy-five (75) hours instruction (EMT-Basic or EMT-IV or EMT-I or EMT-P) on an annual basis.
2. Maintaining current Tennessee licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic.
3. Maintaining current CPR instructor endorsement.
