This is a full-time, grant-funded position working under direct supervision of the Police Supervisor (Captain) and general supervision of the Associate Director of Public Safety. This position is designated to work at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology locations within Memphis.
The Police Officer 1 investigates crimes and accidents, protecting faculty, staff, students, visitors, and property, facilities by law enforcement. He/she responds to calls for assistance including emergency crisis situations and provides other safety related services. He/she must be flexible to work different shifts if and when deemed necessary.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Assures building security, traffic control, parking lot management, and patrol readiness for crime and hazards.</li>
<li>Patrols the campus/specific area by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle/motorized conveyance.</li>
<li>Issues citations for traffic and parking violations.</li>
<li>Responds to radio and telephone calls; electronic alarms such as fire alarm, personal injuries and crime in progress.</li>

Job Summary
This is a full-time, permanent fiscal year position in the Division of Finance.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Analyzes and reconciles the personnel budget to ensure the finance system remains in balance. Creates budget revisions, processes transactions and confirms submitted budget documents are accurate and complete.</li>
<li>Collaborates with departments on position budgeting, including requesting budget documents, answering department inquiries and creating/maintaining positions at the College.</li>
<li>Researches budget variances and discrepancies. Initiates corrective action.</li>
<li>Provides support in the preparation of the College’s semi-annual budget. Prepares the semi-annual personnel budget.</li>
<li>Assists in analysis for budget planning, allocations and reductions. Prepares professional and executive summaries, budget presentations and financial reports.</li>
<li>Assists departments with budgeting and accounting. This includes developing budgets, monitoring finances and generating reports to help departments resolve overextended accounts and salary deficits.</li>
<li>Conduct Banner and Budget training to departmental users.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business from an accredited college or university. 
</li>
<li>One to three years budgeting, accounting and data analysis experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of accounting systems, internal controls and the ability to recommend improvements and assist in system conversions. 
</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with query and report writing tools. 
</li>
<li>Ability to use analytical thinking to develop solutions to business problems and the capacity to exercise effective judgment and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.</li>

Title: Temporary- Adult Education Teacher&nbsp;
Institution:&nbsp;Volunteer State Community College
Job Summary:
Provide instruction for the Adult Education Program (Adult Basic Education/HiSET Preparation) in compliance with the TN DOL Adult Education Curriculum. Teaching responsibilities may include day, evening, or weekend classes on and off-campus, using various formats for delivery.&nbsp;
Job Duties:
Plan, teach and evaluate student work in assigned Adult Education Program classes (Adult Basic Education/HiSET Preparation) in compliance with the TN DOL Adult Education Curriculum. Assist with the administration and interpretation of students' scores on State approved examinations for student placement and instruction. Attend required meetings/training events as appropriate to the position. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate in Education or related field. A Tennessee Teacher's License is required unless an exception is approved by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Adult Education. Experience in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an adult education environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with classroom technology. Familiarity with remote/virtual instruction. Computer skills in Microsoft Office. Analytical and organizational skills. Attention to detail.
Pay Rate:&nbsp;&nbsp;$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
