Shift 7:00am – 7:00pm or 7:00am – 5:30pm; 7 days on/7 days off Includes some holiday requirements Job Summary The Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to our patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of UK HealthCare, the state’s professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The Sterile Compounding Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, working in the clean room and compounding medication. A Sterile Compounding Technician is experienced in all aspects of medication compounding and plays a significant role in the coordination of patient services. This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
