Provide system user support on a continuing basis by phone, electronic means, or site visit. Has hardware/software installation and maintenance responsibilities related to Windows servers, routers, switches, VoIP, tablets, printers, and mobile devices. IT Support Specialist 1

As a Linux systems administrator II, you will deploy, configure, and secure Linux servers using automation tools and custom-built scripts in physical and virtual environments. You will monitor, manage, and troubleshoot network-connected equipment to ensure optimal functionality while overseeing user accounts, file storage, and security permissions. You will be responsible for the review and enhancement of host security standards— including the analysis of security practices and recommendations for improvements to bolster overall security effectiveness. You will also analyze performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to meet operational requirements.In this role, you will develop and test recovery strategies and disaster procedures for server operating systems and their service components. You will collaborate with database administrators and web programmers to optimize deployments and ensure performance and compliance with standards, recoverability, and security. Your responsibilities will include the integration of SAN practices with server operating system deployment and recovery, the exploration of standards to enhance uptime and performance, and the management of records to ensure up-to-date documentation of configurations and services.You will provide troubleshooting support to second and third-level support to technicians and system administrators and manage comprehensive documentation of services, configurations, customizations, and projects.
