The ideal candidate will be an M.D/ D.O. or equivalent, eligible for a Kentucky Medical License, have completed an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship, and BE/BC in both Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine. Fellowship in lung transplantation, 3-5 years of experience in the care of lung transplant patients, and eligible for primary physician certification with the OPTN. Candidates will be expected to play a leadership role in the growth and development of the lung transplant program as well as participate in the care of inpatients in the UK Lung Transplant program, the evaluation of patients for lung transplant listing both inpatient and outpatient, and outpatient post-transplant care. Candidates will have the opportunity and are encouraged to be involved in the teaching of University of Kentucky medical students, residents, and fellows.
