Additional information about the Department may be found here</p><h4>Job Summary</h4>Conduct and oversee interdisciplinary research for the Illinois Strategic Organizations Initiative (ISOI) administered within the Department of Business Administration.<h4>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Research <br>· Conduct field research through interviews, data collection, and analysis.<br>· Assist with qualitative and quantitative data analysis, manuscript preparation, and editing.<br>· Document methodologies to ensure reproducibility.<br>· Translate research findings into practice to facilitate deployment of research in academia and with ISOI partners.<br>· Coordinate research and project proposals with faculty and stakeholders.<br>· Distribute research award funding upon selection from principal(s).<br>· Build collaborations with academic researchers, sponsoring agencies, corporations, students, and other stakeholders.</li><li>Administrative<br>· Plan, schedule, and promote events, seminars, and meeting logistics.<br>· Supervise undergraduate students, including training, assigning tasks, tracking work performance and deliverables, organizing datasets, and creating an inclusive and collaborative environment.<br>· Track and advise on annual expenditures including personnel, equipment, and travel for assigned principal(s) funds.<br>· Work with the department business office to administer grants and manage the funding for assigned areas and initiatives.<br>· Assist in preparing and managing faculty calendars, meeting agendas, and future follow up.<br>· Provide presentation creation and support.<br>· Process travel and purchasing expenses via P- &amp; T-Card as necessary.<br>· Manage and update website and social media for assigned areas and initiatives.<br>· Support communication activities in conjunction with the College marketing office.<br>· Produce Annual reports<br>· Assume additional appropriate related duties to further the mission of the unit</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><p>Master’s degree in business administration, economics, communication, information management, or a related field.</p><p>Two years of experience in an academic and/or research environment.</p><h4>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h4><ul><li>Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a broad array of internal and external constituents.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Extensive knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li><li>Task Prioritization: Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment, ensuring timely completion of various responsibilities.&nbsp;</li><li>High Volume Transaction Processing: Skilled in processing a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently, with a strong attention to detail.</li><li>Multitasking:Capable of managing multiple complex tasks concurrently, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.</li></ul><h4>Appointment Information</h4><p>This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis.
