This is a full-time twelve-month position reporting to the Dean of Arts, Sciences, and Technologies. The director will be responsible for overseeing assigned course programming to incarcerated students. The director will collaborate with faculty and staff in the division and college to implement educational opportunities to students who are incarcerated.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the Correctional Education Initiative curriculum at DSCC.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of guidelines and regulations set forth by TN Department of Corrections to ensure compliance.
Become certified in and fully use the course management system for all courses delivered to incarcerated students.
Participate in professional and committee activities including serving on College committees as assigned by the Dean.
Meet with incarcerated students weekly to twice weekly at all of the off-site correctional facilities.
Collaborate with distance education and academic departments to facilitate learning within the security limitations set forth by the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
Facilitate and monitor student enrollment progress, persistence, and completion by serving as the academic advisor to incarcerated students.
In consultation with the dean, chairs, and faculty, assist in the preparation of course schedules to keep incarcerated student cohorts on track for completion.
Mediate resolution of conflicts between students and faculty in consultation with the Academic Dean and the Dean of Student Services.
Monitor and evaluate each course shell before it is sent to CEI+ to ensure compliance.
Provide direct service to students in-person and online to meet student needs.
Complete Master Advisor training.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the college to ensure program success
Collaborate with Student Services staff to assist formerly incarcerated students as they transition to re-entry.
Serve as the budget manager for the CEI Program, ensuring compliance with grant goals, restrictions, and parameters.
Represent DSCC at all correctional education initiative conferences and meetings by working closely with the Tennessee Board of Regents CEI Program Director(s) and associated third- party partners.
Prepare and submit reports and contracts associated with the CEI program.
Work with the Director of Admissions &amp; Records to plan and execute commencement exercises at the correctional facilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary: Desk work; travel will be required weekly/bi-weekly for each correctional facility. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Job Purpose:&nbsp;This position guides and maintains the college’s information security program. They are responsible for all matters of IT security, compliance, auditing, risk mitigation, and policy. This position works to strengthen the college’s security posture and minimize risks from external and internal security threats. The GCS Sales, Marketing, and Business Enablement Director role will be responsible for leading audit coverage of the following organizations within GCS:<ul><li>US SME (Small and Mid-Sized Enterprises)</li><li>Global &amp; US Large Enterprises</li><li>GCS Marketing</li><li>Commercial Business Enablement&nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul>About the Team:Global Commercial Services issues a wide range of proprietary corporate and small business cards and provides services to U.S. businesses, including payment and expense management, banking and non-card financing products. GCS also issues proprietary corporate cards and provides services to select global corporate clients. GCS product management teams partner with the GCS sales, marketing, and business enablement functions. The GCS Audit team within IAG is responsible for conducting risk-based assurance and advisory reviews of GCS.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead a team to execute audits in the GCS Sales, Marketing, and Business Enablement portfolio in conformance with professional and department standards, budgets, and deadlines&nbsp;</li><li>Plan, execute and oversee audits and issue validations ensuring adequate workpaper quality and effective stakeholder challenge and escalation where necessary</li><li>Communicate audit objectives, scope, risks, and findings articulately and with impact to individuals at various levels of business management</li><li>Develop and maintain collaborative senior stakeholder relationships across the enterprise to perform effective business monitoring&nbsp;</li><li>Self-starter with passion for continuous innovation with a view to drive organizational improvements and impacts</li><li>Has the ability to work with unstructured tasks and provide a structured output to amplify IAG’s coverage of the GCS sales, marketing, and business enablement functions</li><li>Enable the deployment and optimal utilization of data analytics on all applicable assignments&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively teach, coach, and develop team members in all aspects of the audit methodology</li><li>Assume performance management responsibility for assigned staff.</li><li>Maintain the team's resource calendar, training program and recruiting pipeline, and execute the screening and selection process</li><li>Maintain internal audit competency through ongoing professional development</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>7+ years of relevant experience in audit or other relevant role in the financial services, risk management, banking, or card products industry</li><li>BA or BS in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent degree&nbsp;</li><li>Experience auditing commercial banking products and services including sales, sales incentives, account development, marketing, and business enablement</li><li>Ability to break-down a complex problem into components, process knowledge and risk/control knowledge, and communicate issues and control recommendations with transparency, integrity and impact&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively works independently, within a team and across teams in a fast-paced environment to drive business results, utilizing related project management skills, employing creative thinking, and the ability to work on competing priorities&nbsp;</li><li>Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects and provide developmental feedback to team</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage people in a way that inspires, develops, and delivers results</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver high quality, actionable feedback to client management on control issues and potential solutions to close gaps</li><li>Excellent storytelling and visualization skills</li><li>Ability to travel</li></ul><h4>Preferred Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or another related field is preferred</li><li>Relevant audit and professional certifications are preferred (Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) etc.)</li><li>Interest in working with data, interpreting results, analytic best practices and experience with data analytics tools and data visualization is a plus</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Access, SQL, Power BI, Python, SAS, Hive and/or Spark is a plus</li></ul>Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
